Synopsis

Shift places you in the role of a doctor. Your patient waits in the next room. Just do the procedure as usual, and everything will be fine.

Shift a prequel to an upcoming project called Human Mouse Experiment, a dystopian game telling the tale of the last pure human alive. Does your role as a simple doctor play into this greater destruction? It's best not to think about these questions. After all, you have a job to do and a patient to help.

Gameplay

Controls:

• Mouse Hover - Look Around
• Mouse Click - Use Computer/Retrieve Item/Enter Doorway
• W/S - Move forwards and backwards
• A/D - Rotate left and right

How To Play:

Shift is a short game where the player explores the hallways of the hospital and uses the doctor's computer in order to deliver the procedure. The game is short and easy to clear. However, there are multiple endings in the game based on what the player chooses to do that will impact the story and introduce the player to more of the backstory surrounding the universe of Human Mouse Experiment.

This is the first game I'm releasing in the Human Mouse Experiment universe, a narrative project for myself featuring a myriad of game genres and media. Inspired by the stories of Ready Player One and the MegaTen franchise, my goal with the series is to practice my skills as a storyteller while exploring themes of humanity, transhumanism, and the value of life.
